Growing up with family stories, I've long been interested in preserving family histories. Visiting the cemetery each Memorial Day was a big part of our lives, and I feel strongly that cemeteries must be preserved and protected. I'm grateful for the work of all of the volunteers on Find A Grave, and for the creator of this website. Through their efforts, information is being preserved, and awareness is being raised of the vital role our cemeteries play.

I am actively involved in researching both my and my husband's family histories. Without Find A Grave, I would probably never have learned much about my husband's family, since the tombstones are just about the only stories we have for many of the family members.

If we want to know who we are, and to understand why our families are the way they are, we need to understand where we came from and what molded the lives of those who came before us.

Any photographs I take are yours to use freely. It's always nice to be mentioned as having provided the photograph, but I will leave that up to you. Currently, however, I am not available to take photo requests.
