Bio

My family on both my Mother's and Father's sides are all from the Adair and Knox Missouri Counties. We would like to contribute the death date and cemetery location for my Great-Aunt Eliza Black Payne, who is the oldest sister of my Great-Grand-dad Ambrose E. Black,Nov.9,1845- Feb.5,1904. Their Father was John S. Black, 1805-1870, buried in Baker Cemetery, in Edina, Adair County, Mo. Eliza is the 3rd Great-Grandmother of President Barack Obama. She was born on April 3, 1837, and died in 1921. She is buried in Baker Cemetery,Edina, Mo. Her younger siblings were Thomas Jefferson Black, Alexander Black,George Black, John Henry "Jack"Black, Ambrose Everett Black, and Mary Jane Black. All were Methodists and Republicans!
It is funny to me how ALL sets of my Great-Great-Great-Greats all come from England, Germany, Wales and Ireland; by way of Philadelphia,Pennsylvania;then on up to Ohio, or down to Preston County, West Virginia; then to Bourbon County, Kentucky; then to all end up in Knox County, Missouri, all at about the very same time! Meanwhile, they were all intermarrying with each other along the way.
