Family history has always been of interest to me but it wasn't until my grandparents passed away that I started seriously researching and documenting my lineage. When I started my pursuit I was under the mistaken opinion that I was simply Scottish on both my maternal and paternal sides. I learned very quickly that seldom is a person only what has been passed down verbally from generation to generation. A verbal record only goes so far. Lines get blurred, people get forgotten and family history gets distorted.

Through I have been able to bridge gaps in my research which have resulted in finding other proofs of lineage. I am grateful to the many whose efforts have helped me document my family and I am committed to assisting others as a means of paying it forward.

While I make every effort to document only verified facts please be aware that some errors may exist. Please let me know if you are aware of any errors or would like to have additional information added to a memorial.
