I am a disabled Network Technician and started digging into my family history starting in 2010 at the age of 43.

So far, I've found one family line that goes back to the 1300s where there are 3 knights, a Salem witch trial "accuser girl" (not particularly proud of that item), and that I am a shirttail relation to P. T. Barnum. These finds were in my paternal grandmother's line alone! This is the kind of stuff that makes this stuff worthwhile.
