I live in the area of Indiana where my family settled over 200 years ago. Researching Cullins, Martin, Tyner, Stevens, Jones and other lines who settled in Indiana from Virginia and South Carolina.
I would like to remind other researchers that using chalk on a stone is not recommended by professional restorers. Instead, use a sheet of white paper and artist charcoals. Lay the paper over the stone and rub the charcoal over the paper. Also, NEVER use paint on markers in the lettering on a stone. While I have no problem with others posting photos on the memorials I've created, it bothers me to see unapproved methods used on the markers. Thanks
