Find A Grave ID

My husband and I have lived in Florida since the mid-60's. He is from Indiana and I am from Pennsylvania.

I have been doing genealogy since 1980s, back before computer, entering data on family data sheets, charts, etc.! Anytime we visit any relatives, I would interrogate them time and time again. Likewise I would visit the libraries in their towns to glean the newspapers and shelves.

A recently deceased friend brought me the first genealogy software called Family Origins. Oh man, it was so much easier to enter data, instead of duplicating the information on the multitudes of family sheets. I was on clouds.

The Internet does have a lot to offer, but one still have to go to the libraries to do the nitty gritty work to obtain stuff not on the Internet. Recently we went to Albuquerque, New Mexico and I hit a piece of the mother lode. The obituaries, death records, marriage announcements, and old city directories expand the line to California and Utah.

My 34 years of investigative skills are not established very well and I found myself saying why didn't I do this before. Ugh! Nevertheless the trees are growing and I hope to impart for others to expand their database.

I have mine and my husband's tree online:

Any photos I placed on the memorial pages are for you to use and enjoy.
