Bio

Hello, my name is D. Craig McDonald and I was born in 1954. I have been researching my McDonald family for over 20 years. I owe a profound debt to Moruca King, my 2nd cousin, once removed, who would tirelessly persist asking her relatives in getting as much information as she could about our ancestors. I also give thanks to my Aunt Rosemary and all the other people who have provided valuable information to fill in the gaps. The research is up on Wikitree.com and on Ancestry.com. The name of the family tree is called "Fork of the Rivers McDonald's - Texas Descendents" though many moved to other places other than Texas. My most distant ancestor is William McDonald who married Elizabeth Sadler in 1789. We are still working on who he was and where he was born. I hope our research gives meaning to anyone who is fortunate to be born in America. I do this work because of the questions, Who am I? Who were my ancestors? When and why did they come to America? It would be great to finally find some relatives across the ocean.
