I have been researching my family tree for 13 years. I've always been interested in history. My Maternal Great-Grandparents came from DeSmet, South Dakota. They lived there in the same time period as Laura Ingalls Wilder of the Little House on the Prairie books. In fact, they purchased the Ingalls house from Carrie Ingalls when Ma and Pa Ingalls passed away. They lived in the house for many years and my Mother used to play there as a child. Eventually our family sold the house as a museum that you can visit today. I used to imagine how they lived when I read the Little House books. And on my Paternal side of the family, my Grandparents came from Numaran, Mexico. My Grandfather left Mexico as a young man and went to California, where he got a job as an actor in silent films. He thought moving pictures was a passing fad, so he brought his family to the Midwest. With all these stories filling my head as a child, it's no wonder that I have such a love for history, and cemeteries play a huge part and need to be preserved. If I happen to take a picture of any of your relatives, feel free to use my photo in your family tree.
