Bio

My name is Roy Glen Brewer, I am a U.S. Army Veteran of the 82nd Airborne Division (79 -82), I am retired from a 34 year career in law enforcement, my wife and I currently reside in Pleasant Shade, Tennessee. I grew up in Rickman, Overton County, Tennessee. I am the son of the late Paris Brewer and Mildred Louise (Burks) Brewer. Paternal Grandparents were Jessie and Lucinda (Osborne) Brewer of Dayton, Ohio formerly of Wolfe County, Kentucky and (Maternal)Charlie and Minnie Myrtle (Boles) Burks of Clay County, Tennessee. I am the Great Grandson of Greene and Hannah (Hatton) Brewer of Wolfe County, Kentucky, James Wesley and Mahala Emmeline (Brown) Osborne of Mennifee County, Kentucky, William Alexander and Cora (Boles) Burks, and John L. (Son) and Eliza (Lynn) Boles.

I have been researching my family tree for over 19 years. Most of my family were a poor but proud people who lived in economic depressed areas that made it tough to provide for their families. My efforts are not for personal financial gain, but to make sure these ancestors and proud people are not forgotten for future generations. I am always happy to share what infomation I have, and to collaborate with other researchers! I believe that "Find a grave" is a very good devise to share this heritage and keep it free. Over time, many grave sites are forgotten but for memories of the living. Researchers must record and document these memories before these people are gone.

If anyone finds information or links that they feel are incorrect, please let me know.
