Bio

My name is Frederick Reef Egger but I prefer to go by Reef, which was my
paternal grandmother's maiden name, which was originally spelled Ryf. I
have been doing genealogy for over thirty five years. Stowers was my
mother's maiden name, but thru DNA we have discovered we are not related to Stowers. My mother's father was John Frank Stowers, born 7
July 1879 in Fulton County, GA. He married my grandmother Eva Eugenia
Isam in 1901 in Bibb Co., GA. John joined the U.S. Navy in 1903 and died
in 1912 in a Navy Hospital in Bent Co., CO. We think John was adopted
by George Lewis Stowers and his 2nd wife Rebecca Ledbetter.
If anybody has any information about this family please let me know. I
would appreciate any help.
