I really like databases. Find-A-Grave is exactly that, and I have been finding relatives / friends since 2007. Find-A-Grave lists where people are buried. I don't know of another website that has that information.
I am related to Hedman, Amundsen, Cote, Austin, Longshore, McCown, Aye, Plankael, Bishop, Smith, Thompson, Thomasson, Faris, Cowger, Bowers, Abney ... and the list continues on.
If you would like me to do any research for you (like, finding a cemetery obituary) ... send me your name, family you would like this obituary information for, etc. - to firstname.lastname@example.org. I will do my best.
On many of my entries, I have included (many times) how the obituary is listed in a corresponding newspaper. The obituary lists many of the direct family members, and relatives (both surviving and already passed away). I do this for correctness of my entry. Please feel free to do additional research on any of the family members listed in the obituary, and link them to my entry. Though, make sure they don't already exist (and just haven't been linked yet).
Thank you to all those who help link people in Find A Grave, that aren't linked correctly. I am sure they appreciate it, too.
Also, by going through "Edit" (within one of my listings), you can correct dates, middle names, etc. I am happy to approve any "Correction" done this way. Thanks
