I love American history, dealing with names, and solving mysteries, which means I love genealogy. I've created memorials on FindaGrave mostly to be helpful. For anyone interested in the memorials I have:

I do not automatically approve Edits, except for the very obvious. My policy has always been to check edits sent to me because I do not want to pass on incorrect information, and some edits have indeed been wrong or without proof. Checking them takes time and effort though, and I am usually busy working on some other genealogy project. If you really want to add details to one of my memorials, the best thing to do is to ask for a transfer.

I will continue to make transfers to anyone, be it close relative, distant relative, or just anyone who would like to manage a memorial that I created. None of my memorials are of my personal relatives. If you would like a memorial transferred to you, please use the method that FindaGrave has provided: Go to the memorial page and click the Edit button. Of the choices that follow, click on "Suggest any other correction or addition." This will bring up a message box for you to write me, and the email FindaGrave sends will include a link to the memorial as well as to your profile page.

As before, I am happy to have anyone copy the photos I've posted to use on a family tree. That's why I took them.

Also as before, I ask that folks NOT post death certificates on my memorials because I feel they are not appropriate for a picture.

FindaGrave is a great website even though it's basically all about deaths! Still, it makes me think of the verse "And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life." (I John 5:11)
