I am just a grieving granddaughter who misses her Pa and Granny J tremendously.
For as long as I can remember, they were my favorites. They treated us (all 17??) like we were their favorites. I never once questioned the love they both had for us.
We lost Granny J in 2000, and it rocked us to our cores. She was an amazing woman with a huge heart. Christmas was always fun.. she would wake everyone up at 4 am because she could not stand to wait any longer. Her favorite holiday was Easter, and favorite color purple.
We lost Pa in November 2007. He had just celebrated his 77th birthday on the 1st, and was gone by the 4th. I am still shocked. He was just here. Pa was a little rough around the edges, but so soft on the inside. He never met anyone that did not become a friend or family within 10 minutes. He was tough on all of us, because he loved us so much and knew deep down we could all do better than our best. He was my absolute favorite and I miss him so very much. It still hurts like it was yesterday.
I am joined this to make sure to keep both their memories alive, and through the process, have found many people just like myself. Just trying to keep their family lines going and not forgotten. If there is anything I could do for someone else, please let me know. I am a photographer by hobby and love to visit cemeteries.
