Findagrave has been an invaluable resource for my own family research and I am so grateful to all of the volunteers who have contributed to this site. My journey has taken me from my hometown of Lake Wales, Fl. to the frozen tundra of MN by way of AL,TX,CA,and WI. Recently returning to the South, NC is state #7, I am following the research of my great-greatgrandmother, Lora S. LaMance, expanding and correcting her data.
Nov. 2017-I am dreading the introduction of the new site format as it is, in my opinion, awful. From the layout, to the font size, color of print, it is not user friendly. Instead of being compact, with all of the information before you, it is spread out all over the page.
I am very much against unknown burials as that is contrary to what the intention of this site was all about. Adding death records and other information to other people's memorials without first asking is inconsiderate. I would ask what are you trying to accomplish by doing so? This is about where someone was buried, period, any other information is a treasure for researchers and certainly has been beneficial for my own research, but it is not necessary.
