Okay, so I'm a genealogy buff - I've been working on my family history since the 1970's (I don't remember when I first started). I'm fully 1/2 Sicilian (my father's side) and mostly Irish on my mother's. God help those who cross me - it's NOT a good combination! :)
Genealogy is a fascinating hobby and I especially enjoy finding the "juicy stuff." Of course, it hasn't helped a bit that I'm a citation maniac: I have nightmares if I don't record EVERYTHING and am a staunch believer in the NUMBER ONE rule for constructing genealogies - "cite your sources." I especially like Find-a-Grave as photos and other information from cemeteries provide wonderful information for those researching their family histories.
My latest research interests include ongoing research on my one line that traces back to a Revolutionary War Ancestor, Simon Riegle. Although I have been able to approve my descent, it remains a line that contains a lot of unanswered questions.
