My father originally created this account as he researched his Gaston and Mecklenburg County, NC relatives. My son and I are now maintaining this account as we get back into genealogy research. Most of our family settled in Virginia or North Carolina in or before the 1800s.

Most are not direct ancestors, so please let us know if there is an ancestor you would like transferred to you. In Virginia, our families are focused on the Southampton/Sussex area and the counties from the city of Richmond north/east to Essex County (predominantly Caroline, Hanover, King William, and Essex).
