Since my husband passed away I have quite alot of time on my hands. My sister and I decided to do a family tree/scrapbook on our father and his siblings. They were taken away by the State and put at St. Vincent DePaul Orphange in Vincennes, Indiana. They were separated from their mother and father for 11 years but all found their way back home after turning of age. Their father had Epilepsy and was put in a home with others like him and since their mother had no income to speak of the State took them.
Doing the research has brought us in contact with lots of people, stories, family we never knew and pictures. Dad's tree is now done and now I am working on my mother's side. I enjoyed this and discovering history thruout my adventures so while I am out there I decided to be a volunteer and start taking pictures for others who can't be with their loved ones.
