Bio

Will Elkner is on this website because he discovered his mother's grave posted here about ten years ago. It was quite a shock. He did not know much about his mother, and this provided an entry into looking at his genealogy.
He discovered that he is related to Elkners and Wannamackers from New York on my father's side going back to the mid 1800's in the US, as well as Armacosts and Borns out of Carroll (Baltimore area) Maryland, dating back to the late 1600 and early 1700s on his mothers side. The Born line has been traced back to a Johan Born who lived in France sometime around 1670 forward relocating to the colonies before 1700. Anna Born is the earliest American born ancestor I have confirmed (1747) though there is an Osboorne line that may have a descendant born in America as early as 1709 but that is not yet confirmed. Right know I am particularly interested in any relatives still living that knew: Henry William Elkner Sr., Helen Elizabeth Armacost, Katherine Armacost, Kenneth Armacost or Wilhelmina (Still) Armacost in the mid to late 1950's. Ms. Katherine Armacost, my mother's younger sister passed and her name was Katherine Miller, in Ana Rundel MD in 2014, I never met her unfortunately, but have learned she missed her sister a great deal.
