I have been actively doing genealogy for 20 years. I like to do this as a hobby and my passion is finding Civil War Soldier's final burial places. I am a proud Daughter of Union Veterans of the Civil War and am proud two of my great grandfathers served in the Civil War.
The Underwood side of my family descends from William Underwood who came to the United States in 1640. His family was one of the first to colonize the Bay Area. He lived in the Chelmsford, Massachusetts area. Later generations in this direct line lived in New Hampshire, New York State, Wisconsin, and Iowa. Two generations were part of the Onieda Community, which eventually evolved into the Oneida Silverware Company, still in existence today.
I will kindly transfer any memorial who is not related to me.
