I have been a genealogist since 1994, and part-time professional since 2009. I have always used cemeteries for my own research, which is why they are so important to me. I use my proximity to many cemeteries in Monroe, Livingston, Allegany, and Genesee counties in New York to assist other researchers. I try to be aware of issues such as plot arrangement and grave proximity; when possible I will try to do general area surveys, not just get the photos requested and leave. I have helped find "lost" graves and relatives for others and hope to continue to help in this fashion.

I am happy to transfer management of memorials for people I am not related to myself. This includes nearly all memorials under my care in the New York counties of Genesee, Livingston, Orleans, and Monroe. I do general photographic surveys in area cemeteries and create memorials based on the photographs I take, although I often do additional research to find maiden names when possible. I am related to very, very few people in these counties, so chances are I will be willing to transfer.

If the transfer request is one of my relatives, I will consider a transfer only if it should meet Find a Grave generation guidelines.

I also follow Find a Grave's guidelines about not posting obituaries dated after 1922, for copyright reasons.

Also, please feel free to use my grave photos for personal projects -- don't feel you need to ask. If you are planning to include them in something for publication, please contact me for permission and arrangements first for proper credit. Credit is all I would want under those circumstances.
