I descend from the Cherryville, North Carolina Stroups. I have had a DNA test done to prove our line comes from Jacob Stroup/Straub, who immigrated to this country in 1733. He was a small boy when he came to this country. My father started Stroup research in the late 1940's and my sister and I have continued his research.
