I have been doing genealogy for 10 years now, focusing on my female lines, which can be difficult. I prove everything I find - by spending long hours in courthouses, cemeteries, libraries, etc. I travel to the places my ancestors hail from - mostly the UK, central Illinois, southwest Virginia and Pennsylvania. I am currently working on doing inventories for several Staffordshire churchyards. I will add any pertinent information, such as birth and death dates, but only if I have proof it is correct. (I will look through parish registers as well as newspaper articles and probate records) I spend many hours travelling to the UK to transcribe churchyards (as well as money) so it would be impossible to add everything. I would like to acknowledge Kay Marples, Alan Gifford and the wonderful volunteers (especially in the Staffordshire area) that keep up the churchyards and rural cemeteries - which make it possible to photograph these graves! I understand I am very fortunate to be able to travel to the UK as much as I do, perhaps through my travels I am able to help someone find an ancestor. Feel free to use any photo you see, however please acknowledge from whom it came. Thank you!
