Dennis William Simpson was born 01 Apr 1952, in Los Angeles, California. He was the eldest child of Arthur Marcus, III and Lillian Nadine (Saso) Simpson. Mr. Simpson served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War, and recently retired from the US Postal Service with 33 years dedicated service to his country.

Mr. Simpson is an avid Genealogical Researcher for more than 45 years experience. He has authored several books, "Simpson and Allied Families," 1985; "The Descendants of Doctor William Simpson," 1993; "Members of the Society of the War of 1812 in the State of California, The First Five Years," 1994; and has written numerous articles for several historical societies throughout the United States.

He resides in Madison, Alabama, where his ancestors were among the first settlers in the area when it was part of the Mississippi Territory. He has served the General Society of the War of 1812 continually for the past 12 years as District Deputy President General (Pacific Area). He holds life membership in the Limestone County, Alabama Historical Society, and the California Society of the War of 1812. An organization he founded on the 200th anniversary of the Constitution of the United States. He is also a life member of Disabled American Veterans, and served as Senior Vice Commander of Camp Kearney in Van Nuys, California.

During the 1996 Presidential election, Mr. Simpson served as a delegate in the Republican National Committee, casting his vote for Lamar Alexander of Tennessee. He is member of the Independent Baptist Church.
