My cousin and I have a lot of great family members, but one of our personal favorites is our uncle Leonard Arnold. He is 86 yrs old (in 2007) and started our family genealogy many, many years ago. Besides his tireless hours on research, he has a remarkable memory of things from his childhood.
Before his memory starts to fade, he's "passing the torch" on to my cousin, Kaye, and me. He's asked us to take over his genealogy research when he's gone.
To get us started, we took Uncle Leonard and 81 yr old "little" brother (Kaye's dad; my uncle Bill Arnold) to 2 cemeteries, where several family members and ancestors are buried.
With both their memories, we were amazed at what we were able to find and who they were able to remember!!
