Bio
My students' and I have been restoring Gravelly Burial Ground for over twenty years on Saturdays. One group of students produced a movie, "A Look at our Past" that chronicles not only Gravelly but other cemeteries of the same time period in what was once Brick Township but now encompasses Point Pleasant as well. The project began in 1976 as a Bicentennial Work. I am currently placing all the research we've found on this website in the hopes that some folks may find their ancestor's interred at Gravelly, which was also known as the Old Wooley Cemetery.
There seems to be some confusion with a contributor name KAT who asked me to delete some duplicate entries since KAT added entries before me. KAT has disabled messaging so I cannot explain to KAT that I have worked on this site since 1976. Whatever duplicates there are KAT may delete with my approval.
I just published a book about Gravelly that explains our project that began in the Bicentennial. It is available on Amazon.com.
