My parents (now both deceased) are from McCreary County, KY and I have been raised to RESPECT graves (we don't even walk on them!) and to decorate them, at least, yearly. I am teaching my children the same.

I was born and raised in or near Port Clinton, OH. I have 3 boys, have been married to my husband Brian since 1998.

My family (meaning cousins, aunts, uncles, etc) has always been close. Even if I only see them once a year, we are still very close. My husband says we are the "huggin'est family he's ever seen".

Recently, at my Dad's funeral, my cousin Sheila said it very well, "We may be an odd family, but we are a bonded family!"

I enjoy visiting the F-A-G site because most of my family members are buried in McCreary County ... even though I have the pictures that I have on the site...visiting the site is like a short trip to the cemetery. If I have something to say, I can either write it publicly or I can say it privately to myself.
