My oh my! I just realized that it has been nearly 11 years since I joined Find A Grave. While I know that all the information on here may not be entirely factual (most likely due to human error) at the very least sometimes a family member that you can not find in any other way can be found here just because someone cared enough to add them. Now that being said I'll get to me.

I am a daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and now a great-grandmother! And I'm not even 60 years old yet! What a role I've played and have. Now that I've shared the titles that I have in my family I'll get down to just myself.

I love doing crafts, crocheting and cross stitch are probably my two favorites. I do love to read but I am not a book worm like so many people are. When I do read I really enjoy reading something pertaining to history. Whether fiction or non-fiction. Now the actual story does not have to be true but I have read books where the story is fake but it has been interwoven with real historical events.

I can easily get lost in my family tree on Family Search since several of my lines have reached far enough back that the rest of the family tree is already done. I have picked out a person on my tree that is of royalty or just a name I recognize from history and learn about them more by googling them and reading what I can find. An example would be the person I most recently picked to learn more about. That person is High King Brian of Ireland. How fascinating this ancestor of mine was and how sad that in the end even though he was victorious in a battle that a group of men from the opposing side were able to sneak up on him and kill him in a surprise attack! Anyway this is just one way I learn about those in my family tree that in this life I will never meet!

Several years ago I received a bachelors degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. I have not yet done anything with this degree but it sure did open up my eyes to just how connected we are with nature as a whole and how important it is to do whatever we can to shrink our carbon footprint upon this planet if we want our descendants to be able to live, breath and love as well as multiply here on Earth.

I really love most things Southwestern particularly kachinas. My favorite insect is the dragonfly. I really do love watching wildlife and their antics when I can! My favorite series at the moment is Outlander with Jamie and Claire Fraser as well as the books by Diane G. Which I have purposely been reading slowly!

I've had numerous pets over the years and I will say that I am primarily a dog lover, but years ago I did have a cat named Patches that I absolutely loved! Possibly my favorite dog that is now gone was Sierra Blue, she was part Chow and we really didn't know what else. Maybe black lab possibly. Since losing her and her daughter China Blue we have rescued a Chow mix from Texas named Pearl Blue and then in Pennsylvania there was said to be a Lab/beagle mix with the breed of her father unknown. Her name is Heidi Claire and to describe her she looks very much like a Golden Retriever! The middle name Blue was added in honor of them being part Chow. As far as we know there is no Chow in Heidi so that's why her name is different.

Oh well, for now I've probably just bored you to tears. Anyway if you have questions or suggestions about anything I've added please let me know and I'll try and answer them for you.
