Strangers in the Box
By Pamela A. Harazim
Come, look with me inside this drawer, In this box I've often seen, At the pictures, black and white, Faces proud, still, serene. I wish I knew the people, These strangers in the box, Their names and all their memories Are lost among my socks. I wonder what their lives were like.
How did they spend their days? What about their special times? I'll never know their ways. If only someone had taken time To tell who, what, where, when, These faces of my heritage Would come to life again. Could this become the fate
Of the pictures we take today? The faces and the memories Someday to be tossed away? Make time to save your pictures, Seize the opportunity when it knocks, Or someday you and yours could be
The strangers in the box.
If there are any graves that I have put on here that are in your family lines and you want them I will Transfer them. With the understanding that I would like to keep my family lines. I love going to cemeteries and I feel if we dont get the information from their graves now that they maybe lost. Within my short time of doing these photos and graves, I have seen with my own eyes some of these graves are unreadable now. But these pictures have brought them back to life. Find a grave has guidelines on transfers, mine is if you ask for a transfer, you should be able to have it unless I want it for my tree and edits. My daughter is still young but I plan to show her What my mother and I have done here and she too can carry on this adventure.
I am doing family genealogy on the DeVore, Kirk, Clark, Ward, Messenger, these are the main ones...
