I am a family genealogist for the Grimes Family that originated in Virginia and has spread to Pitt County NC, Duplin County, NC and Martin County NC. We know all these different branches are from the same source because of DNA matches. From NC, the Grimes' went to Georgia, across the South to Texas (One Jesse Grimes (a certified relative) was killed at the Alamo. I have a number of pic of gravesites in NC (Grimesland and Avon to be specific and much of the info for those two graveyards are in the Pitt County Family Researchers web site (PCFR.com)
