Bio
I have traced my lineage back to Martin Mahaffy who was shown on the manifest of The Chichester, a ship which sailed from Belfast, Ireland and landed in 1768 in Charleston, SC. His name appears in the Revolutionary War as Martin Mahaffey. (My family name changed, probably after the Civil War, from Mahaffey to Mahaffee.) I have reached the well-known brick wall of an amateur genealogist with him, not having any ancestors to him.
