Mr. Mat Curd, a former resident of Harrodsburg, died in Kansas City Wednesday morning, aged 86 years. He was for many years cashier of the First National Bank in this city, and was prominently identified with the interests of the town during his residence here. He has been living in Kansas City for almost thirty years. His remains will be brought back to Harrodsburg and are expected to arrive here on the 10:30 train Saturday morning and the remains will be taken direct to the family lot in Spring Hill Cemetery and interred with a short service at the grave. Surviving him is a daughter, Mrs. Lillian Curd Elliott, of Kansas City, a brother, Mr. Joe Curd, also of Kansas City, and a sister, Mrs. Jennie Marimon, of Cincinnati.
