Mrs. Joyce Ann Johnson age 72 of Bolivia died Tuesday October 30, 2012 at SECU Hospice Brunswick Facility, Bolivia.
Joyce was born in Brunswick county on October 9, 1940 and was the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Gladys Fulford Carlisle. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Johnson on September 29, 2012. She retired from Brunswick County as Clerk to the Board of Commissioners.
She is survived by her children, Lisa Kennedy of Longs, SC, Teresa Mallard of Ash, Sheri Mills and husband Jerry of Shallotte, Lee Johnson of Holden Beach; four grandchildren, Devane Tolbert, Jesse Mills, Stephen Mallard, Destiny Kennedy; a brother, James Carlisle of Supply, a sister, Nellie Reeves of Holden Beach.
Funeral services will be held Friday November 2, 2012 at 11am at Sharon United Methodist Church with Pastor Eddie Hill officiating. A private burial will be in Griffin Cemetery, Ash.
