Final Rites For
D.I. Cox 72
Held Sunday
D.I. Cox, 72, of the Harris community, died at his home Saturday, at 7a.m. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, at 2 o'clock at Mt. Paron with Rev A.E Brown, officiating. Interment followed in the family plot in the cemetery near Mt. Paron.
Mr. Cox, a well-known Claiborne Parish farmer, had lived in the Harris community all of his life. He was stricken Friday morning, and died Saturday. He was a member of the Mt. Paron church.
Survivors include his widow, the former Miss Sudie Torbet, one son, Grover Lee Cox, Joaquin, Texas; one grandson, Leland Cox; one sister, Mrs. C.O. Phillips, Harris, and one brother, Lee Cox of Joaquin, Texas.
