Funeral services at the home at 3:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, March 15, with burial at St. Paul's cemetery, Nordheim, Texas.

Mr. Heldt has been showing the infirmities of old age the past several years, and had been practically helpless for many months past. His Death, according, was not unexpected.

Mr. Heldt was born on September 30, 1851, at Burow bei Koswig, Anhalt-Dessau, Germany; was baptized and confirmed and grew to manhood there, and served two years as a soldier of the Empire, 1871-72. He came to America in 1875, settling at Yorktown, where he married to Miss Sophie Peters December 17, 1882. Of their union the following children were born:

Herman F. Heldt of San Antonio; Mrs. Henry G. (Alvine) Schlosser of San Antonio; Mrs. Fred (Lena) Alex of Luling; Robert C Heldt of Nordheim, and Anna, Died in infancy, 1901. There are 17 living grandchildren. One brother, Franz Heldt, services at the old home in Germany. Mr. and Mrs. Heldt made one visit back to the old country more than twenty years ago. All the children were present at the funeral.

The funeral was conducted at the home at 3:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, Rev. T. J. Roth officiating both at the home and at the cemetery. Floral offerings were profuse and beautiful, despite the recent freeze. Pall bearers were: Roland Heldt, Arno Heldt, LeRoy Schlosser, Roman Alex, Waldin Peters and August Peters.

Mr. Heldt was a hard-working, frugal man all though his active years, a substantial citizen and a devoted husband and father. His passing is deeply mourned by his good wife, children and grandchildren, to all of whom the view extends sympathy in their bereavement.
