Decorated war hero, and beloved Beaumont citizen, Elacy Junious, 88, passed away Oct. 30, 2012 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital. He was born September 10, 1924, in Crosby, TX, to Mary Frances Junious.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, November 3, 2012, at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church, with interment at Houston National Cemetery, under the direction of Calvary Mortuary Staff. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with a Rosary at 10:30 a.m., at the church. Fr. Robert Zawacki, SSJ, will officiate the service.
His son, Stephen Junious Sr., preceeded him in death.
Mr. Junious was a member of Our Mother Mercy Catholic Church Organizations, Knights of St. Peter Claver, American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and Military Order of Purple Heart.
He is survived by his children, Frances Wagner Schinner, Elizabeth Junious Williams, Sheryl Junious Jones, and Brenda Wagner Samuel; sister, Edna Martin of Crosby, TX, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
The family will host a ceremony following the Mass at the church hall.
