___________

The daughter of William C Roller and Sarah Franklin Hawkins Roller. Her siblings: Jeannie, Emeline, John William, Henry Jackson, Clearence Bell and Theodore Jip Roller.

On 12 Oct 1910 Maggie and John Wesley Hare married in Glagow, Barren County KY. Just before their marriage on the 1910 census Maggie is listed living with her brother, Theodore and wife, Carrie Roller.

John's first wife, Ellen Purcell Hare died and Maggie cared for his children while he worked. According to my brother Maggie cared for Ellen before she gave birth to Charles Laurence. The children and step children to Maggie were: Nellie Jewell, Nancy Agnes, Bessie Isabell Frances, William Thomas and Charles Laurence Hare. When Laurence was six months old his mother, Ellen died on 7 Feb 1908 from complications from his birth. John was unable to care for him and he was adopted to Sidney Russell Parrish and Eva Goodhue Parrish. The remaining children are the ones Maggie looked after.

John and Maggie had five children: the first two children, Wesley Franklin and Russell White died as infants. The last three children were Walter Dennan, Horace Edwin and John Morris Hare.

Her parents, sister, Jeannie Roller, brother, Theodore and her two infants, Wesley and Russell Hare preceded her death. Not sure of death date for her brother, Clarence Roller.

Maggie died in Louisville, Ky at her son, Walter's home. She, alongside husband John Wesley are buried in Hurt-Defevers Cemetery off Tick Ridge Road in Barren County, Kentucky.
