Andrew married Annie Maud Danbrook on Sept 7,1904 in Elma Twp. Perth County. Annie's father is James Danbrook and mother is Margaret Melrose.

My Great Grandfather, Andrew Buchanan, came west in about July of 1908 with his wife Annie Maude (nee Danbrook) and their first two children; Elwood and my grandmother Margaret.
Andrew was born in Donegal, Ontario on February 2, 1882 to Willam Samual Buchanan and Margaret Burke. Andrew married Annie Maude Danbrook on September 7, 1904 in Ontario. She was born December 21, 1881 to James Danbrook & Margaret Melrose, and died September 18, 1942 in Salvador, Saskatchewan. Andrew died July 22, 1974 in Unity, Saskatchewan and was buried in Salvador.
The Buchanan's and the Danbrook's both came from an area in Ontario called Perth County, from the township of Elma near the Town of Listowel. My great grandparents travelled by train from Ontario to Regina where they soon moved on to Donegal, Saskatchewan in St. Joseph's Colony.
Donegal is a single Searle elevator (closed since 1965) southeast of Reward. The name Donegal was first applied to the country school three miles northeast of the elevator. The school was built in 1911 and Andrew Buchanan, one of the three trustees, suggested Donegal in memory of his home town of Donegal, Ontario. - Kelly Mitchell
