He was a shipping clerk for the Erie Railway in Chicago.
While serving in WWII, he was machine gunner in the 2nd Armed Division in Africa, Italy and France, and was awarded the Belgium Ribbon & Bronze Star.
As a member of the 4th Army in the Pacific, he saw action at Attu, Kiska, Aleutian and Marshall Islands.
He was a member of VFW Post 814 in Peoria.
Surviving is wife, Pearl and daughter, Mary Ann. Also brother, Joseph Fosco with sisters; Mrs Mary Rubino, Mrs Ann Polonus, Mrs Madeline Adkins and Mrs Margaret Adkins, all of Peoria, and Mrs Carmella Hill of Stockton, Calif.
