Frank Smith Hyland was born to Harvey George Hyland and Mabel Betsey Smith in Rolling Prairie, Dodge, Wis. on 37 Oct. 1880.

Frank was a chemist, owned a laundry, was a sales manager for a machine company.

Frank married 7 January 1903 to Helen Hagan Moores, who was born in Milwaukee. They married in Milwaukee recorded in Vol 34 p 289.

Early in their marriage they lived in Portage, Columbia, Wis. and then by 1920 they moved to Milwaukee. They were back in Beaver Dam when he died.

Frank died 19 Oct 1940.

HYLAND--Frank S. Hyland who spent most of his life on the Hyland homestead 4 miles east of this city passed away in death at the Lutheran Deaconess Hospital here at 7:20 Sat. [19 Oct 1940] evening. Death followed a brief illness.

He was the son of the late Mr and Mrs. Harvey George Hyland and was born at Hyland Corners on Oct 27, 18880. He was a graduate of Portage High School and later attended the University of Wis.

On Jan. 7, 1903 he married Miss Helen Moores of Milwaukee who with 4 sons and 2 daughters survive. The children are: Harvey G. of Niagara Falls, NY; David W. and Francis G. of Beaver Dam; Mrs. Dorothy Wilder, and Mrs. Mabel Gosciniak of South Milwaukee.

Funeral is at 2 o'clock Tues. afternoon by Rev. J. T. Bowdenof, the Methodist Church. Interment in Oakwood Cemetery. [Another daughter died after birth.]
