Claire M. Deany, 99, of Chebanse, IL formerly of Cullom, IL passed away at 3:24 am on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at Beecher Manor Nursing and Rehab Center in Beecher, IL.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Calvert & Martin Funeral Home in Cullom. There will be no visitation. Burial will follow services at West Lawn Cemetery in Cullom, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kankakee Humane Society.
She was born April 3, 1916 in La Hogue, IL a daughter of Albert and Ella (Henry) Berlett. She married Raymond Frantz and he passed away in 1965. She then married William Deany who also preceded her in death in 1996.
Claire is survived by her children: Gene (Patti) Frantz of Highland, IN, Marian (Jerry) McFarden of Bloomington, IL, and Rick (Lois) Frantz of Princeton, IL; one step daughter: Mildred Stevenson of Chebanse, IL; her grandchildren: Tom & Elise Harms, Kaye & Mike Toohill, Tim & Cindy Frantz, Scott & Mary Frantz, Jerry & Vicki Frantz, Rob & Wendy Frantz, Jennifer & Jason Shelton, Raymond & Erin Frantz; her great grandchildren: Matt & Robyn Harms, Jake & Suellan Harms, Katie Toohill, Drew Toohill, Abigail Frantz, Andrew Frantz, Alex Frantz, Alyssa Frantz, Ashley Frantz, Amanda Frantz, Christopher Frantz, Scott Frantz, Jacob Frantz, Jessica Frantz, Jaclyn Frantz, Evan Frantz, Kaitlyn Frantz, Natalia Galivan, Karly Galivan; her great-great grandchildren: Lance Harms, Kaitlyn Harms, Victoria Smith, and Reed Smith; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, two sisters: Kathryn Deany and Carol Haag; four stepdaughters, and two stepsons.
The light of her life was her kids, grandkids, and dog, Tag. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, and friend who will be greatly missed.
