Funeral services will be held April 22, 1972 at 2:30 pm at Berth and Rosenthal funeral home for Mrs. Henry (Mary) Drees, age 86 of 525 French Street, Peshtigo, Wisconsin. Rev. Robert Priest will officiate and burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
She died April 19, 1972 at the Marinette General hospital, where she had been a patient seven weeks.
She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hans Nelson, and born in Menominee, Michigan on April 10, 1886.
She married Henry Drees on April 20, 1908 in Menominee, Michigan. He preceded her in death on June 9, 1936.
They farmed in the Town of Grover and moved to Peshtigo in 1946.
She was a member of the Peshtigo Methodist Church and also the County Line Homemakers.
Survivors include two sons: Harold and Mayor Henry Drees;
three daughters: Mrs. Angeline (Roy) Christiansen of Peshtigo, Wisconsin; Mrs. Alice (Frank) Lappen of Appleton, Wisconsin and Mrs. Marion (Verner) Haag of Appleton, Wisconsin;
three brothers: Henry and Harry Nelson of Marinette, Wisconsin; Robert Nelson of Milwaukee, Wisconsin
and a sister Mrs. Violet Kruske of Marinette, Wisconsin;
21 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
