Ernest E. Barnhouse, 87, of 3150 Baughman Run Road, passed away at 10:58 PM Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at Genesis Good Samaritan. He was born June 9, 1924 in Zanesville, the son of the late Albert Lawrence and Mary Jeannette Smith Barnhouse. He was a WW II Veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired from De Lille Oxygen. He attended Maranantha Bible Church. He is survived by daughters Phillis Henry and Jana (Chris) Palone both of Zanesville, son Dana Barnhouse of Zanesville, several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his first wife and Mother of his children Barbara Barnhouse and second wife Ann Barnhouse, son John Brian Barnhouse, brothers Wilmer, Russell, Albert, and Edgar Barnhouse, sisters Marguerite McWhorter, Hazel Smith, and Lela Mason. Friends may call from 2-4 pm Sunday at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home where services will be held 11:00 am Monday with Pastor Dale McCallister officiating.
