Only child of Irwin B. and Mamie L. (Gerry) Hopkins. Served in the Navy between Jan 1944 and Feb 1946; was discharged (honorably) due to mother's medical condition at the time. Worked as a draftsman and helped on designs of many nuclear power plants. Married Emma L. Bauer in 1920 and fathered three children, two boys and one girl. Survived by wife and children as well as 8 grandchildren.
