Birth information: Thomas was eight months old on 24 July 1860. [1860 Census] His parents and older sister had immigrated from Douro Township, Peterborough County, Ontario, Canada in 1858.

According to the Omaha death register he was 32 years old, nativity Ireland, a widower, occupation clerk, residence South Omaha, died of alcoholism on November 28, 1892, following an illness of seven days, and was buried December 1 in Holy Sepulchre cemetery, Lot 26. His burial card states he died of shortness of breath on November 27, 1892, age 36 years, and was buried November 30.

Tom May Dead

Thomas May, the bartender, who went insane a few days ago and was taken to the county jail for safekeeping, died at 10 o'clock last night. Undertaker Brewer was ordered to take charge of the remains by Mr. May's friends. The deceased was a widower and leaves two small children, who are living in Omaha.
