Mr. Brantley was a member of Bluewater Baptist Church and served in the US Army. He was a retired civil service employee of RAFB. He was a former Auxiliary Dublin Police Officer and Auxiliary Laurens County Sheriff Deputy. He was a former member of the Dublin Civitan Club. He was a past president and man of the year for the Laurens County Sportsman Club. He was a farmer and a former member of the Georgia Cattleman Association.
