The Daily Record - May 28, 1996: DALTON-I Glen Berg, 82, of Dalton, died Saturday, May 25, at Wooster Community Hospital, after a lenghty illness.
Serviced Wednesda at Dalton United Methodist Church, with the Rev. John H. Wolfe, officiating.

He was born in 1913 in North Lawrence to Ira A. and Laura (Adams) Berg, and married Alberta Gatrell on Aug 14, 1941. She survivies. He was a graduate of Bluffton College, where he was a member of Phi Delta Kappa and received his master's degree from OHio State University.
he had made his home in the Dalton area all of his life, and had served as a principal and teacher for a total of 42 years. In 1980, he retired as superintendent of Dalton Local Schools.
He was a member of the Dalton United Methodist Church,where he was lay leader, Sunday school techer and a choir memb er and had served on the administrative board and was the Wooster District delegat to the annual church conference.
he was also a member of Wooster Cripple Children and Adults, Retired Teachers Association, American Assoication of Retired Person, Dear Lodge F&AM 430, Valley of Canton Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Al-Koran Temple of Cleveland, and was Honorary Chairperson of the Dalton Local Auditorium Commiette. He was a 54 year member of the Dalton Rotary Club.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are a sister, Helen Baumgartner and brother, Don. Two brothers, Norman and Merlin, died previously.
