Joyce Cook Waggoner was born September 28, 1922 in Duncan, OK., and passed away October 27, 2012 at her home in Duncan, at the age of 90.

Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at Duncan Cemetery, officiated by Rev. R.K. Miles under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home.

Joyce was a graduate of Duncan High School and attended the University of Oklahoma. She worked for Koch Oil Co. and retired in 1961. She was a member of the First Christian Church. She enjoyed traveling, reading and watching OU football.

Joyce and Homer F. Waggoner were married December 12, 1942 in Duncan, OK. They lived in Norman,OK., Midland, Michigan, Buffalo, New York and Pasadena, California before returning to Duncan in 1952. Homer preceded her in death November 13, 2011.

Survivors include her sister, Alma Jo Blankenship, Duncan, a niece, Sue Ellis and husband Tom of Duncan, two great nieces, Lauren Ellis Siess, Duncan and Brooke Parker O'Dell, Mobile, Alabama, two great nephews, Jonathan Ellis, Charlotte, North Carolina and Brian Parker of Birmingham, Alabama.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Waggoner, her parents, Miller P. and Allie Duncan Cook, two sisters, Dorothy Russell and Murvelle Wilbern and a niece, Pam Parker.

Honorary bearers will be her caregivers.
