COOPER, DOLLIE HUCKLEBY (GRANNY) - age 89 of Knoxville, passed away on Monday, October 29, 2012, at her home after a courageous battle with cancer, during which she never complained or gave up on life. She was of the Baptist faith, and worked for over twenty years at the Army recruiting station. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Preceded in death by husband, Guy N. Cooper; daughters, Judy Cooper Collins and Brenda Cooper Bowling; son, Nathan Cooper. Survived by children, Carolyn Smith-Ingle, Joyce Cooper Brewer, Joanne (Roy) Dobbins, and Gary L. Cooper; special grandson, Gary Sorrells; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. The family would like to extend a special thank-you to granddaughters and caregivers, Tanya Cooper, Brenda Rogers, and Missie Sorrels. The family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at 2:00 pm, Thursday, November 1, 2012, at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel with Rev. David Cloud officiating. Interment will follow in New Gray Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm Wednesday at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel. Pallbearers will be James Smith, Gary Allen Brewer, Michael Carter, Nathan Cooper, Roy Dobbins, Robby Cooper, and Michael Bailey Brewer.
