Obituary - THE TENNESSIAN, Oct. 21,1974:

Mrs. Effie Grace Pinkston COLUMBIA. Tenn.- Mrs. Effie Grace Balkcom Pinkston, 62, of Columbia, died yesterday in Park View Hospital, Nashville. Services will be at 3:30 p.m. tomorrow at First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Garden. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Terry Snyder, Mt. Juliet, , Tenn., and Mrs. Harold White, New Orleans; three sisters, Mrs. Carl Hancock Athens, Ga., Mrs. Wilder Bailey, Macon, Ga., and Mrs. Leonard Lifsey, Augusta, Ga.; two brothers, George, Macon, and Norwood Balkcom, Jacksonville, Fla., and two grandchildren.
