Ruth S Kamenc, age 92, formerly of Shellburne and Greenville Place Apartments, Wilmington, DE died on Sunday, October 26, 2003.

Ruth was born in Harrington DE to Nathan Stubbs & Ella Ruth (Glandin) Stubbs and was a graduate of Harrington High School and Goldey College. Earlier in her life, she worked for 18 years as a secretary at the DuPont Company. Ruth was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, and Christian Business & Professional Women.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph S Kamenc, who died in 1977; and her only child, her beloved 15 year old son, Joseph S Kamenc Jr who died in 1962.

She is survived by her sister, Pauline M Clark of Newark, DE; 2 nieces; and 2 nephews. The funeral service will be at 10:30 am, Friday, October 31, at the McCRERY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 3924 Concord Pike, Talleyville (Route 202, south of Silverside Rd.), where friends may call after 10. Interment will be at All Saints Cemetery.
